These two babes decided to romp through the forest before hitting up their very unique vow-renewal. The funniest thing about the coast is that no matter where you go, there’s always something new to see. These two came for the amazing cliffside ocean views for their vows but I didn’t want them to miss out on what else the California coast has to offer! These baby Redwoods sit just outside the Big Sur Lodge (which I HIGHLY recommend staying at). They make for a great place to explore and provide a different view of this awesome state. It’s a secret little hide-away the provides so much peace. You can walk the trails or explore the creek that runs through, just like these two did.

I really wanted to document the relaxing feel of taking a slow morning in the forest. I didn’t want to go with anything overly posed or forced looking. These two are magically natural together and I wanted to capture that between them before their busy day ahead. That’s the best thing about running away for your elopement or vow renewal—the slow moments. You don’t get those on a big wedding day full of hustle and bustle. You don’t get to relax with your favorite person and wander through the woods together. These intimate moments are possible when you take the crazy out of a wedding day and make it solely about you and your love.

So, grab a cup of coffee and put on some slow jams because you should be as relaxed as these two were on this beautiful, woodsy morning.
