Creating wedding films for our couples brings us so much joy! Our main goal is to showcase each couple and their wedding uniquely. No two weddings are the same, no two couples or their story are the same. We truly believe each couple deserves their own mini-movie, custom made for them.

We pride ourselves on never following a cookie cutter formula when creating our wedding films.

We draw lots of inspiration from home movies. We love shaky cam footage, zooming into a smiling face, audio of real laughs, day-of interviews, and all those touches that give a film it’s charm.

“We are honestly, speechless. First off, if you are reading this and on the fence of whether or not to choose to pay for a wedding video...DO IT! I can promise you won’t regret it.”

“I am at a loss for words. I just got our video back today and I have watched it 3 times already and teared up each time. When Cody says he is here to tell YOUR story, he's not kidding. He took the time to get to know us and represent exactly who we are in our video. From the big moments to the small details, he got it all.”

A Nod to the ‘80s

For us, creating a wedding film should be extremely unique. Every single wedding is different. Every single couple is different. If there is one thing we dislike, it’s being cookie-cutter. We aren’t the type of people to produce the same photos and films over and over again — hello boring! We believe that creating a gallery or a film that is a true reflection of the couple, and the day that they created, is the most important thing we can do. Lots of photographers and videographers follow a certain format when creating their work. That’s just not us. We want everything we do to be thought out and meaningful.

When we first met with Jessie and Ross they expressed their want to plan their wedding day in a way that nodded to the ‘80s, without being a bad-themed party. They told us about how they love watching their old home movies on VHS and how they wanted that to be the focus of their film. We knew from the start that these two had a serious vision for their wedding day and the feelings that they wanted to evoke. Every single detail was thought out: from the custom Gucci Suit and thrifted matching cuff links and earrings to Jessie’s reception dress (really from the ‘80s), the balloon drop with over 400 balloons, the music they played, the giant tiered cake with a fountain underneath, and so much more.

When we started putting this film together so many things were running through our head—mainly, how do we create a film that is modern but also has a heavy nod to nostalgia? We knew that was the most important overall idea: keeping the film up-to-date, but maintaining the integrity of who Jessie and Ross are at their core, and showing off all the hard work and thoughtful touches of their day.

When we were laying out the film we had one idea, and it was something we had never done before. Making the film’s timeline chronological. Why? Because that felt the most true to form. An old wedding on VHS wouldn’t appear out of order of events. No way. It had to be chronologically done. Sounds easy — right? Well not really. Because a 7-minute wedding video in chronological order is boring. So how can we spice it up? Music! But the music can’t be only 1-2 songs because we need the songs to bring the pizazz. We searched and searched for modern music that nodded to the ‘80s time period, but just couldn’t find anything that sounded right. Honestly, everything sounded so cheesy. So what did we do? Bought the licenses to real ‘80s music. And not just ONE song but five songs.

After searching through hours and hours of VHS and digital film, countless songs, and cutting so much audio that we wanted to keep, we finally landed on our final film.

So here’s to the most well-put-together, nostalgic wedding we’ve seen yet — we hope this film does it justice 🖤

A Mountain Wedding near San Diego, California

Nat & Alex are two of the most welcoming and fun people we know. We loved hanging out with these two all weekend and witnessing their tight knit community come from all over the world to celebrate them. With more than 10 years together, this day was long awaited by everyone in attendance and the pure joy and giddiness was totally palpable. With a decade under their belts their family and friends have spent time getting to know each other and build relationships which lent itself to some of the most fun group moments we’ve had the pleasure to capture.

With Nat & Alex’s full trust in us, we were so excited to sit down and get truly creative with their film. We spent weeks coming up with the perfect opening to bring you back to when and where they first met, picked apart their personal vows to make sure not a single laughable or cry inducing moment was missed, and laughed our way through choosing the ceremony moments (you’ll see why). We can’t wait for everyone to view this film and the amazing moments that were captured!

A 3-day Wedding Weekend in Tulum, Mexico

When Danielle & Stephen reached out to us about capturing their wedding weekend in their favorite place in Tulum, Mexico we would be lying if we said we weren’t intimidated. These two are some seriously talented film-makers, and while we knew we could knock their film out of the park, the idea of documenting their love story really had us locked in. With a camera constantly in our hands we were ready to capture anything, anytime, and anywhere all weekend. Fortunately for us, Danielle & Stephen’s friends were some of the most welcoming people we’ve ever met and they included us with open arms in all of the weekend’s festivities. From their capture the flag welcome party to the night club feeling reception, we were so happy to be the ones documenting every moment for these two.

We hope this film showcases all the beach vibes, inside jokes, happy moments, and the close knit group that came to party in Tulum for some very special people.

Colorful Camp Wedding in San Luis Obispo, CA

Rhi & John had the most relaxed, colorful wedding day on a friend’s private property near San Luis Obispo, California. The property is actually a working vineyard that also holds small music festivals in the summer. It was the perfect spot for Rhi & John who own Shindig Cider (this is a MUST try!) and really value family connections. We don’t think there was a single family member or friend who didn’t lend a helping hand for this wedding weekend. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect weekend for these two who embraced the camp vibes, colorful decor, and coolest outfits we may have ever seen for a bride and groom.

Knowing how how much their family and friends mean to them and witnessing how much this weekend exuded fun, we wanted their film to highlight those important notes. And with lots of bold colors and beautiful attire this film was so fun to edit. We hope you feel the joy while watching!
