An Intimate Wedding at Four Amazing Venues in Santa Barbra, California
When you get married in Santa Barbra you aren’t at a loss for venue options! Often times couples choose Santa Barbra as their wedding destination because of the boutique and unique (pun accidental, but still true) venue options it provides. Mekenna and Justin definitely had that frame of mind when deciding where they wanted to get married. They had not one, but four, amazing locations for their wedding day!
The couple got ready at Palihouse—which is truly a work of art. The boutique hotel is self described as being decorated in a ‘vintage-preppy meets american-riviera’ sort of way. And we would totally agree. We were blown away by the attention to detail, beautiful indoor spaces, and lush courtyard. The bar was our absolute favorite area in the hotel and we loved capturing our bride and groom in the colorful and quaint space.
The Santa Barbra Courthouse was the breathtaking ceremony venue. We know when most people hear of a wedding at a courthouse they think of dark, dingy rooms with bad office furniture and florescent lighting. Well, take those thoughts and turn them upside down because the Santa Barbra Courthouse has quite possibly the most beautiful spaces to get married in. Mekenna and Justin opted to say their ‘I-do'‘s’ on the lawn, perfectly framed by the architecture of the courthouse behind them.
For the perfect intimate wedding dinner spot, they chose La Playa Azul. They were able to have a private dinner full of flavorful Mexican dishes on the deck out front, with their own personal bar included. What was even better than the delicious food was that the restaurant provided all vendors their choice of meal off the menu, including any drinks and appetizers we wanted! To say we were over the moon would be an understatement—getting 5 star food and drink served to us in private is something we never get to experience when working a wedding, and it was such a nice touch.
To end the night we headed over to Pearl Social which is a really cool bar that has a disco ball dance floor, huge bar, outdoor space, and stylish furnishings. The bar is the perfect size for a smaller wedding guest list and lends a comfortable vibe for everyone to dance the night away. And being able to rent out a whole bar for your wedding night is pretty cool, am I right?
